Give a shit

This company is ours. Act like an owner of the whole thing, not just your corner of it, whether you’re spending money, shipping a product, setting up a lab experiment, or deciding what deserves your weekend. Care about what we build, how we build it, how we support it, and how we treat the people around us. Nobody here gets to say “not my job.”

Say it to my face

Great people get better when they’re challenged. Give candid feedback to someone’s face, never around their back. Go brutally hard at ideas, but stay easy on people. And expect the same in return. Vague politeness isn’t kindness, it just slows everyone down and does your colleagues a disservice.

Get it right

Done and done right aren’t the same thing. Right means it works, whether that’s in a lab experiment, in simulation, in a demo, or on a customer’s line. Question the status quo, rethink problems from first principles, and keep trying until we get it right. That’s how we create magic.
